Starting summer off right! A new hobby and swim lessons

A summer, endless days full of no homework...and FOUR kids at home all the time.  If it were up to the kids we would watch t.v. all day, everyday.. Well probably not, but they do like the tube a little too much - that and video games.  So that's where the director of activities hat of mine comes into play.  I try and plan out activities to keep us moving.. Sometimes I'm better at it than at others and sometimes we end up watching that boob-tube.  :)  One exciting new hobby I found this summer was that of GEOCACHING!  It is an exciting world wide treasure hunt!  People hide little things all over the world and put their coordinates on a website for others to find.  And so we did.  I borrowed my mom's Gps, looked up some different places to goto and off we went in search of our treasure.  This picture is our  first ever geocache.. and not even far down the street from us.  :)
These are some more fun finds.

Once you find the treasure - you sign the log saying that you've been there and sometimes you take something out.  If you do, you leave something in return for the next person to find.

This particular one was really cool.  It was called Miss muffet or something like that.  and it was a giant spider....almost scared me at first!  Rachel is holding it.  Some people get really creative with it!

Another must do in the summer for the Seegmillers is swim lessons.  The kids look forward to swimming all the time! This year was the first year that even Bryant got to take a class all by himself.  Mom didn't have to get in the water.  They all had a ball and each improved a lot this summer!  Bryant is in the preschool class and Eric and Rachel for the first session were in level 1 and Andrew in level 4.

Eric is doing so much better this year than last!
They all love to use their goggles to help them see underwater.

Andrew didn't want me to take pictures, so I had to be sneaky.

All in all a good start to our summer.
