You know how excited you get when you have a field trip...you know that you get to ride on the bus, go away from school and see something cool?! Not to mention not doing any regular work. Awesome right? Especially when it's to the Dolphin habitat and secret gardens - where you have never been before! So excited, that you get to school early to make SURE not to miss the bus... yeah that was Me (oh, and Andrew too. :P) Imagine the dissappointment for Andrew and about 70 other kids and chaperones and teachers, as we waited for the bus to arrive and didn't! An hour late - they finally figured out that the original driver didn't show up for work and got another bus out - however too late to actually make the field trip! We would have gotten there and had to leave 10 minutes later...So the teachers had to make the difficult decision to call it off. The kids were sad (understandibly.) I thought the teachers did a great job helping them understand what happened and let them play some educational games - after they got to play on the playground for a little while. The good news is they have been able to reschedule the field trip for Jan. 9th. and I get to go as a chaperone again. yeah!
