Oh, Canada!

So, For a week in September, we went to Canada.  Yep, you heard that correctly - Canada - another country...all of us!  It was awesome!  We flew to Calgary.  The kids first time on an airplane.  They did great!  It was quite the adventure.  We had layovers each way... which made for some interesting maneuvering.  We went through customs and had our passports stamped.  Yep, we all had to have a passport!

The whole idea for the trip started when they announced they would be building a temple in Calgary.  Well, since Jeff had never been back since his mission 20+ years ago, we thought hey that's a good reason to go?  So, thought in the back of our mind, we decided to save money and see if we could make it happen.  Then, his mission president and wife decided they wanted to hold a mini-reunion in Canada and tour the temple together.  Well, that decided it.  We saved for two years and it was soooo worth it!  We had such an amazing time.  We traveled up to Banff, the Canadian rockies, went to the Calgary Zoo, explored sooo much  and the temple was the most fantastic part.  Being able to take the kids through before it was dedicated and see their reverence without even having to be asked.  And also seeing how excited the members there were excited to have a temple close.  It made me grateful and want to attend more often.  I actually made a whole book out of our over 600 pictures for this event.  So, I'm just including a few favorites on here.  :)
