swimming lessons...

One thing summer definatly means for our young crew is swimming lessons!  This year we did two sessons - one before mom's surgery and one after. :)  The kids did awesome this year.  This is Eric's first year and he loved every minute of it - wanting to go farther and faster than the instructor of course.  He was in Preschool group.

Rachel grew by leaps and bounds this year.  Her confidence grew and she figured out that with floatation devices she can swim all over the place.   She was in level 1 again this year - but actually letting the instructor help her float on her back and go under the water!  She even went down the big slide on the last day of class! way to go Rachel.

Andrew I think grew the most this year - for the first time he wasn't in level 1, he was moved up to level 2!  He was so excited to learn actual swimming 'skills' like forward stroke, backstroke, treading water, etc. He loved his instructors, especially the last one, who repeatedly told his class that they were 'professional swimmers!"  (great positive reinforcement!)  Andrew now swims like a fish all over the place - no floaties and goes down the big slides over and over again! :) I hung out with Bryant and tried to take some good pics....:)
